Wied il-Għasri – Gozo’s Hidden Valley by the Sea

Wied il-Għasri – Gozo's Hidden Valley
Gozo has many beautiful coastal spots, but Wied il-Għasri is one of the most unique.
This narrow valley cuts through the countryside and leads to a small, hidden inlet where the Mediterranean Sea quietly flows between tall limestone cliffs.
It is peaceful, dramatic and often surprisingly quiet.
A Natural Fjord
The valley looks almost like a tiny fjord.
A narrow path and staircase lead down to the water where a small pebble beach sits between the cliffs.
Because the entrance from the sea is very narrow, the water here is usually calm and crystal clear.
A Favourite for Snorkelling
Wied il-Għasri is a wonderful place for snorkelling.
The rocky seabed and clear water attract many small fish, making it an interesting place to explore underwater.

Peace and Quiet
One of the best things about this location is the atmosphere.
Unlike some beaches, Wied il-Għasri often feels calm and secluded.
You might hear:
the sound of waves between the cliffs
birds flying overhead
the wind moving through the valley
It is a perfect place to slow down and enjoy nature.
Close to Żebbuġ Village
Wied il-Għasri is located very close to the village of Żebbuġ, making it easily accessible for guests staying at Haven Farmhouse.
Many visitors enjoy walking or driving there in the morning before continuing along the north coast to explore the salt pans and Marsalforn Bay.
